Time Here.

It's been

World's Worst Driver

Living in Seattle has been terrific, but there is a downside to it as well. The vast number of people who are allowed to drive is amazing. Just yesterday we ran into someone who should not have been given their license! We pulled up behind a blue car parked at a red light waiting to turn left. I too wanted to turn left. The couple in the car appeared to be messing around with their radio so when the light turned green, they didn't move. Thinking that honking my horn would be a courtesy to them, I was surprised when he looked up and then didn't move. "Alright, maybe their car was having problems," I thought. He proceeded to sit there until the light turned yellow and then drove through. Driving through yellow lights is very common out here, so I drove through right behind him. He was driving at a crazy slow rate so I went around using the second lane. Now you would think this was the end of it but he apparently had other ideas....I continued driving like normal to the next stop light. As I neared the light, I looked in my rear view mirror and saw that same car coming up behind me fast! All I could think was "go ahead and hit me so I can get a new car", but just at the last second he pulled into the other lane barely missing my car. Now I knew something was up and wanted nothing to do with him, so I got into the left turning lane. Apparently I wasn't fast enough in pulling up to the car in front of me because all of a sudden there he was cutting me off. Cutting me off is a nice way to say it...he basically pulled in front of me perpendicularly so his driver's side was facing the front of my car and stopped. I wasn't about to get into a fight with this guy so I ignored him. He then drove through my lane, the next turning lane, and two other lanes of traffic to get to a gas station. There was a gas station on the right side of the road that he could have pulled into so he definitely didn't need the gas. I guess now I will think twice before honking at someone stopped at a green light!! What a tool.

I could think of other, more fitting names to call that moron. I too honked at the car in front of me at a green light today, like you said, as a COURTESY. Like *beep beep, just so you know, the light is green now, so you can feel free to move at any time*. My green light waiter went ahead and WENT, sorry yours decided to take his lapse of attention out on you.

You never can trust that people will act in a sane and decent manner, no matter where you live, but with all the coffee people ingest in Seattle you're liable to run into a few more crazies.
